Wellbeing support to families and children at Kettering Park Junior Academy

Wellbeing Award for Schools

Evidence demonstrates that good emotional wellbeing is key to learning, attainment and improved academic outcomes which is why Kettering Park Junior Academy is currently going through the accreditation process for the Wellbeing Award in School (WAS).  This Award has been developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) to help schools and academies prepare and equip themselves to promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole academy community.

To achieve this vision we have adopted a universal approach to wellbeing where all aspects of the academy experience are harnessed to promote the emotional and physical wellbeing and mental health of pupils and staff. It is an approach where emotional wellbeing and mental health is everybody’s business so that pupils, with the support of their teachers, can build confidence and flourish.
